The Evansdale Police Department provides full-time public safety services with pride, honor and dedication to duty and service.

Since incorporating as a city in 1949, a core value to our community has been the ability to provide public safety to our citizens.  By embracing the idea of "Community Oriented Policing," we recognize the needed partnership with our neighbors, whether business members or residents. By cooperating with each other, we can strive for a safe and friendly community to live, work and in which we can raise our families.

The Evansdale Police Department recognizes our citizens as customers and we work hard every day to provide the best services we can.

We encourage you to contact us with any concerns or areas of interest you may have so that we may better serve you.

A message from the Chief of Police:

Evansdale is a fast growing community with nearly 5,000 residents adjacent to our larger neighbor, Waterloo.

Our police department provides 24-7 protection with 7 full-time sworn police officers, 8 part-time sworn police officers and 7 reserve police officers. We partner with the Black Hawk County Consolidated Communications Center which provides consolidated dispatching services to the majority of the public safety agencies in Black Hawk County. We offer a small-town neighborhood atmosphere next to a larger metropolitan area to provide the best of both worlds.

There are many resources available here to assist you with interacting with our department. I hope you will take the time to review and utilize our website.
